Local Reflexologist helps raise £££s for charity!

Glenda at Holistic Health Donnington 2005

Experienced Reflexologist, Glenda Lasbury of Clifton Village in Nottingham, recently volunteered her services at a charity event to raise money for Treetops Hospice in Risley, Derby. Treetops Hospice offers a range of services for those with life-limiting illnesses, providing them and their carers with much-needed support. One of the services the Hospice offers to its patients is complementary therapy, which helps relaxation and eases symptoms.

The fund-raising event, entitled the ‘Chill Out Zone’, formed part of the Holistic Health 2005 exhibition organised by Derby-based company, Guild Press Ltd. Visitors to the exhibition, which took place at Donnington Park, had the chance to try out a variety of holistic therapies in the Chill Out Zone with each treatment costing £10. Along with seven other therapists, Glenda gave up her weekend to help out, and the end result was that an impressive £1,280 was raised for the hospice! Chill Out Zone organiser Sibby Macbain of Guild Press Ltd commented: “The feedback we had from visitors was absolutely fantastic, and we couldn’t have achieved this without the kindness and generosity of our volunteer therapists – so thank you Glenda!”
